Dokebi Korean BBQ

 

Since opening in 2005, Dokebi has prided itself in the integrity of its food and design.  Located in the heart of Williamsburg, the Korean BBQ restaurant prepares all of its food in-house.  All side dishes, sauces, dips, dumplings and kimchees are made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients, without preservatives or MSG. In our BBQ dishes, only the highest quality meats are used.  The integrity of the cuts of meat is maintained by briefly marinating them in a more concentrated version of Korean BBQ sauce, rather than the usual overnight period.  This allows the various cuts of meat to maintain all of their savory flavors.


Dokebi adheres to its Korean roots and traditions.  The recipes used to prepare the food have been passed down to the owner from his mother, who caringly prepared the dishes for the family.  The chefs who prepare the food are veterans of well respected Korean restaurants in New York.  The only changes they have had to make in their cooking styles were dictated by an adherence to a strict standard of preparing their dishes without the use of MSG and other unhealthy additives.  The cuisine at Dokebi is made authentically with an emphasis on maintaining the flavors of our fresh ingredients.  Where possible, many of these ingredients are sourced locally and organic options are sourced.
